Fear of Sewing
2.5 hours, Private Session $75
A slow and steady introduction to the sewing machine. You
will learn how to operate your machine and actually sew
some samples to see how it all happens.

Start Me Off
1 session- $40, or 2 people for $70
Get re-acquainted with your machine or become more
familiar with a new one. We will learn how to wind the
bobbin, thread the needle and get going. Our samples will
cover the basics like seam allowances, zig-zag settings and
other important techniques. After this workshop, you will be
able to take any of our other beginning projects with
confidence. In addition, you should be able to work on your
own on entry level projects. The workshop fee covers all
fabrics needed.
Bring your own sewing machine so you will learn to use it.
You may reserve the studio sewing machine when you enroll if
you do not have a machine to use.

Easiest sewing: level 1
Pintucks provides the fabrics for this workshop.
Your sewing machine should be in excellent working
condition.
The enrollment for this workshop is limited, so apply early.

Quick Start
1 session- $20, or 2 people for $30
Often scheduled just before a project workshop, this is a one
hour introductory session in bobbin winding, top thread, and
stitch length. After this session, it will be easy to sew a straight
line, and continue to the project workshop successfully.

Easiest sewing: level 1
This is only offered in combination with the workshop session
that follows it.

Purchased Patterns and how to use them
1.5 hours $20, or 2 people for $30
This seminar will show you how to read and understand
commercial sewing patterns. You will learn how to take
measurements and select the right size, best fabric and trims
for the project. Pattern companies, new and vintage brands
will be examined, including tips on where to get FREE patterns
to use for your projects!

BEGINNING SEWING CLASSES

Begining sewing classes at Pintucks offer small
one-on-one help as you learn to sew.

Because most classes provide some form of
materials or supplies, enrollment CLOSES at 10am on
the day BEFORE the sewing workshop. Don't put off
enrolling, as you may find the class filled, or
enrollment closed for that session.

You may reserve the studio sewing machine,
available on a first come basis, when you register.
Personal machines must be in working order. If you
do not have a copy of the owner's manual, we
suggest that you locate one online prior to using
your machine in class.
